A leadership training designed to develop leaders who are informed, motivated and qualified - We want to equip a new group of residents to step into leadership roles in the Worthington area. Join us for a year of personal growth and leadership development! The training involves 9 half-days, 1 full-day trip and a self-directed summer project. Training Dates and Tentative Topics: January 24 - Kick-off on Individual Leadership and attend the Chamber Extravaganza; February 13 - State and Local Government; February 27 - Business Day at Minnesota Capitol (full-day trip); March 26 - Community Leadership and Volunteerism; April 23 - Heritage, Diversity and Cultural Integration; May 14 - Law Enforcement and Justice Systems; Summer - Volunteer or Civic Engagement project (self-directed); September 24 - Community Health and Human Services; October 22 - Education Systems and Opportunities; November 19 - Industry, Agriculture and entrepreneurship; December 17 - Leadership Commitments and Graduation (Employers welcome) Value to Employers: *Imparts Local knowledge to participants *Develops participant's leadership skills *Paves the way for cooperative efforts on current and future community projects *Provides a package of effective, cost-efficient, locally-focused training *Engages employees in community leadership opportunities *Offers exposure for your company and participating employees.
