Info

Ever want to draw and create your own comic book? This art class for youth (Grades 3 and up) is just the ticket! Projects would include design of an original character, learning how to tell a story using the language of comics, drawing/inking/coloring a comic book page, and lessons on storytelling and the history of comics. We will meet on Zoom for 45 minutes per day for 4 days to work on our character building skills for comic books. Students will be expected to work an additional 45 minutes on the studio work discussed and worked on during the class. Students should have good drawing paper, pencils, a pink eraser, fine tip markers, colored markers, and a ruler or straight edge to work on their projects. Classes will be held Monday, July 13, through Thursday, July 16, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. per day on Zoom with Janelle Doyle, our instructor. Cost per student is only $25. Please contact Worthington District 518 Community Education to sign up for this class and receive the link to the Zoom classroom.
